According to Express, a UK paper, French club Lille have given Arsenal the go ahead to sign their wonder kid Florian Thauvin if they are willing to pay as high as £13m for the France under 20 player. It is believe that Lille have decided not to consider selling to any French club but will be open to offers from any other club(s) outside France.
Newcastle, Tottenham, Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea are reportedly interested in the midfielder. However, Thauvin has privately maintained that he wants to play for a club playing in the champions league. Arsenal had according to EXPRESS sent scouts to watch the player at the recently concluded FIFA under 20 world cup. Arsenal are believed to be ready to make a move for the player this week as they hope to make key moves in the transfer window in the next 5-7 days.
Although there are reports that Marseille had already tabled a bid of £7.5m for the 20-year-old, Lille have however not responded to the said offer with the believe that more offers will come in from abroad for the player.
