If reports from Stoke City’s Asmir Begovic’s country Bosnia and Herzegovina are anything to go by then Arsenal are interested in signing the high rated goalkeeper and may be willing to pay as much as 15 million pounds for the player. The reports claim Wenger has ruled out a move for January after taking Palermo’s Emiliano Viviano on a season long loan but after seeing the player in training, Wenger according to the reports wants Asmir Begovic for next summer.
Asmir Begovic was linked to Arsenal in the last transfer window but according to reports, Wenger was frustrated by Stoke City’s 15 million pounds asking price. However, after seeing his efforts to sign QPR and Brazil’s Julio Cesar fail, Wenger has decided to go back for Asmir Begovic who he sees as the ideal competition for current Arsenal number 1 Szczesny.
Aside Arsenal, Napoli and Athletico Madrid are also reportedly interested in the player and both clubs are ready to make their move in the summer after both clubs release the keepers they also have taken on loan Pepe Reina from Liverpool and Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea.
