Arsenal are contemplating a £4.5 million offer for Argentine talent Angel Correa. The South American has been the star man for San Lorenzo this season and his form could earn him a move to one of Europe’s top clubs.
Correa is known for being a trickery attacker who loves to dribble and take players on. His creativity and determination are his best attributes and he boasts four goals and three assists since his March debut.
The Gunners are not the only club to be monitoring the forward with AC Milan & Atletico Madrid also eyeing up possible moves for the Argentinian. The 18-year old is still in the early stages of his career but Argentina have the knack of producing top quality forwards with Carlos Tevez, Sergio Aguero, Lionel Messi, Ezequiel Lavezzi & Gonzalo Higuain the current crop.
Arsene Wenger would arguably be one of the best managers to develop the young star but the youngster would struggle to obtain a work permit as he is yet to earn a single cap for Argentina at youth level. That hasn’t stopped Wenger before with Ryo Miyaichi and Carlos Vela loaned out before joining up officially with the Gunners.
Another thing that Wenger likes to have in his players is versatility and Correa has the ability to play on either wing or upfront. His pace and skill sees him as an ideal winger but his hold up play and eye for goal keeps him in his natural position as a striker for club San Lorenzo.
The Gunners aren’t currently lacking in midfield areas so if Correa did make the move to the Emirates, it would more than likely be as a striker with Nicklas Bendtner & Park Chu-Young set to leave and Yaya Sanogo unable to make an impact in the first team.
